The Platinum Society Network works toward a sustainable future for both the planet and humanity. Japan faces a great many challenges, but by treating them as opportunities for growth, the country can reinvent itself as a world leader in solving them. Drawing on advanced technology and cultural creativity, we pursue initiatives that bring a sustainable society closer to reality. Our work has now entered a phase centered on real-world implementation, with a growing number of projects bringing together local governments, companies, and universities. We have also reorganized as a General Incorporated Association to ensure the continuity of our activities.

The society we seek, we believe, is one in which the Earth endures, life is abundant, and every person is able to realize their full potential. This definition of a Platinum Society is admittedly abstract, and we have spent years working to give it concrete form. We have now arrived at a hypothesis: by creating new industries in five fields — the forest circular economy, renewable energy, human capital development, health, and new tourism — Japan can become a society that is self-sufficient in resources, where people keep growing throughout their lives, and where residents themselves invest in the common industries that sustain their communities. That, we believe, is what a Platinum Society looks like.
